Reach 2: Primary Driver—Imported Dissolved Oxygen

Imported DO is DO that is contributed to Reach 2 primarily by water flowing in from Reach 1. Continuous DO monitoring data is only collected at Mossdale and very little DO data has been collected at Vernalis. Therefore, the Mossdale measurements are used as a substitute for Vernalis DO measurements and are assumed to be similar to the DO concentrations at Vernalis. Research indicates that DO concentrations imported from Reach 1 are at or above saturation levels (Kratzer et al. 2004).
