Summary:
Hydroscience undertook, in collaboration with the Department of Water Resources, to develop a "first-cut" analysis of the San Joaquin River in order to a) obtain a preliminary assessment of the relative influences of various waste loads on water quality; and b) to identify the practicality of modeling this very complex system for predictive purposes. An additional specific objective would be to obtain preliminary estimates of the possible effects of flow augmentation and to identify within a limited framework the magnitude and location which would appear to be of maximum benefit.
