Summary: The Delta is situated at the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers, immediately upstream and adjoining Suisun Bay of the San Francisco Bay complex. Here, delta waters in the Valley Basin of California flow through a 700 mile maze of interconnected waterways and comingle with the ebb and flood of the tides on their way to the sea. This report describes a study of the many factors influencing dissolved oxygen concentrations in the Delta-Suisun Bay portion of the estuary.
